Emeralds and gold in Charlotte real estate jewel of the south

We (OK I) love it when someone else does the work….my friend and Savvy+Company colleague Lynn Johnson has done it better than me….again. Check out her Charlotte is the Jewel of the New South! on the fantastic Ballantyne Buzz blog & dont miss her Facebook page.

Lynn’s right Charlotte is truly a jewel but not only because of our great weather, friendly people, entrepreneurial business climate or the coming Democratic National Convention (he is rumored to be here)! No Charlotte’s neighbor Hiddenite North Carolina is truly a goldmine* of world record emeralds…and if that’s not enough Charlotte was “The first significant gold rush in the United States was right here in Cabarrus County, North Carolina (east of Charlotte), in 1799 at today’s Reed’s Gold Mine.” You can still spend the day panning for gold or digging for emeralds just a stones throw from Charlotte.
