A series of six things you should do if you want to buy or sell a home in 2012!

#1 Don’t sweat it:

I think anyone involved in real estate feels a little like this bird. Let’s call him Roosevelt because like this bird no matter what they throw at us “the only thing we have to fear is fear itself”.

Turn on CNN, open a newspaper, turn on your iPad (like me)…things are bad, really bad, maybe never been worse – housing is in a death spiral. (and if you believe the Mayans it’s all over anyway next December) Well the truth is while the market is pretty crummy in a lot of places like Charlotte it’s not so bad ~ people still have to live…they have babies, they retire, they get new jobs…they relocate, they downsize, they even upsize.

People just like you are buying and yes selling homes everyday ~ believe it or not the Charlotte real estate market is hopping ~ because people want to live here. People want to live in incredible neighborhoods like Park Crossing | Hunter Oaks and Ballantyne. They want to shop at gorgeous malls like Southpark | Carolina Place and Northlake. They want to enjoy the NASCAR Hall of Fame | The Bechtler Museum of Modern Art and The Charlotte Symphony. They want to raise their kids with great schools like Ardrey Kell | Myers Park | Charlotte Catholic and Country Day. Even though the Charlotte market is challenging – the reasons people move are still the reasons people move and the good stuff is as good as ever and getting better!

Give yourself a break if you want or need to move…you won’t catch the bottom so don’t fret about it – there has never been a better time than right now ~ especially in Charlotte North Carolina. Mortgage rates are crazy low, home values have never been better…even the most prudent, cautious homebuyer has to admit residential real estate is a bargain.

You can just do this…you can will fall in love with Charlotte and even in this market we can help! We’d like to hear what’s holding you back ~ leave us a comment below or LIKE us and tell us on our new South of Southpark Facebook Page!
